What is Fisher’s Travel SOS?

Fisher’s Travel SOS provides tourist and business travellers with information on how to deal with an emergency or critical situation. It is specific to a destination – ie., a city or region within a country. Whilst the main emphasis is on providing contacts within 50kms of the destination’s centre the guide also provides national contact information where appropriate.

THIS IS NOT A TYPICAL TRAVEL GUIDE

Fisher's is a travel aid - its purpose to supply information, help, through 'local' services perhaps much like your own, should a traveller face an emergency situation.

For example who to contact, where to go or what to do if:

·         a passport is lost or stolen

·         a person is the victim of a criminal act

·         in need of cash or other financial services

·         dealing with sunburn, insect or animal bites

·         in need of a (hotel) room

·         new to the area and need to purchase food/drink

·         requiring hospital treatment, a doctor, lawyer, optician, even

         a vet at 2am in the morning

Each guide is divided into 10 chapters covering:

5. Transport (walk, bicycle, motorbike, car, coach, maritime)
